Next Steps
- Connect with the Global Mission Group team and our partners. Every trip grows out of an existing partnership. Work with the relevant Global Mission Group team leader and the Mission office to shape a trip that genuinely serves what our partners need — not just what we would like to do. Plan according to the Short-Term Trip Overview Booklet.
- Submit a trip proposal. Once you have a rough idea for a trip and dates that work for the partners, submit a proposal for approval. There is no hard deadline — the proposal can follow your timeline — but it must be approved at least 6 months before the departure date and before any bookings are made.
Good to Know
- Team size is capped at six by default. Larger teams need approval from the Associate Director of Mission.
- Reach out to partners first to find dates that work on their end, then solidify your itinerary.
- The proposal asks for estimated airfare and other estimated expenses, so gather rough numbers before you sit down with the form.
